Deltadromeus Agilis est un des grands prédateurs qui peuplaient le nord de l’Afrique à la fin du Crétacé, il y à environ 95 millions d’années. Il a côtoyé d’autres grands théropodes comme le Carcharodontosaurus saharicus, et peut-être le Spinosaurus. Pouvant dépasser les 13 mètres de long, pesant aux alentours de 3,5 tonnes, le Deltadromeus n’en était pas moins un excellent coureur comme le laissent penser ses pattes particulièrement fines. Sa vitesse et ses dents acérées, adaptées pour déchirer la chair, en faisait un grand prédateur.
